PRÁTICAS INTEGRATIVAS E COMPLEMENTARES NA FORMAÇÃO EM SAÚDE

Resumo

Este estudo analisou a inserção das Práticas Integrativas e Complementares em Saúde (PICS) nos cursos de graduação em saúde de uma universidade pública. Foi realizada pesquisa com abordagem qualitativa, do tipo documental, na qual foram analisados os projetos pedagógicos de cursos de graduação em saúde e também as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais dos cinco cursos de saúde ofertados pela instituição de ensino. Os resultados revelaram inserção parcial do tema nas estruturas curriculares, com predomínio de disciplinas optativas e escassez dessas práticas no âmbito da pesquisa e da extensão. Os currículos analisados precisam ser revistos para maior inserção das PICS e, assim, contribuir para a formação de profissionais de saúde, tendo em vista a integralidade da atenção à saúde.

INTEGRATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY PRACTICES IN HEALTH TRAINING

This study analyzed the insertion of Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (ICPs) in undergraduate health courses at a public university. Research was carried out with a qualitative, documental approach, in which the pedagogical projects of undergraduate courses in health and also the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN) of each selected course were analyzed. The results revealed partial insertion of the theme in the curricular structures, with a predominance of elective courses and scarcity of these practices in the scope of research and extension. The findings had limitations compared to the documents analyzed, as some of them were not updated in light of the current DCN, clashing with the new conceptions of health training. The study contributed to highlighting that the health curricula in the analyzed institution need to be revised to better include PICs in their content and, thus, contribute to the training of health professionals with a holistic and comprehensive view of the health-disease process, with a view to comprehensive health care.
