IMPACTO NA EPIDEMIOLOGIA DA HEPATITE A EM CRIANÇAS E ADOLESCENTES APÓS TRÊS ANOS DA INTRODUÇÃO DA VACINA

Resumo

O objetivo desse estudo é verificar o impacto na epidemiologia da Hepatite A em crianças e adolescentes após três anos de introdução da vacina. É um estudo ecológico com dados de Março a Junho de 2019 dos boletins epidemiológicos da Secretaria de Vigilância em Saúde - Hepatites Virais - Ministério da Saúde, referentes aos anos de 2011 a 2017. Houve uma redução no número e taxa de incidência por 100 000 habitantes em todas as faixas etárias estudadas, e em ambos os sexos, após a introdução da vacina. Não houve diferença significante no número e coeficiente de mortalidade por Hepatite A. Conclui-se que houve uma redução no número de casos da Hepatite A em crianças e adolescentes após três anos de introdução da vacina no calendário vacinal.

IMPACT ON THE EPIDEMIOLOGY OF HEPATITIS A IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS AFTER THREE YEARS OF INTRODUCTION OF THE VACCINE

The objective of this study is to verify the impact on the epidemiology of Hepatitis A in children and adolescents after three years of introduction of the vaccine. This is an ecological study with data from March to June 2019 of epidemiological bulletins of the Health Surveillance Secretariat- Viral hepatitis- Ministry of Health, from 2011 to 2017. There was a reduction in the number and incidence rate per 100 000 population in all age groups studied, and in both sexes, after the introduction of the vaccine. There was no significant difference in the number and mortality coefficient for Hepatitis A. It is concluded that there was a reduction in the number of cases of Hepatitis A in children and adolescents after three years of introduction of the vaccine in the vaccination schedule.
